ART is growing! We’d like to introduce a new hire that has recently started working with us, Brittany Patterson. We can’t wait for you to meet her! Read below to find out a little more about a new friendly face at ART.
Brittany is a new Nurse Practitioner at ART. As a Nurse Practitioner, she is responsible for conducting physical exams on our patients, ultrasound monitoring our cycling patients, performing intrauterine inseminations, and providing counseling to our newly pregnant patients. In a previous role as a postpartum nurse with a local hospital, Brittany used to work with patients that had undergone infertility treatments – that’s how she learned about ART and the work we do. Brittany, born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, says “I really love the staff here at ART and the team approach. Our priority is the patient and their care and I think that shows.”
Brittany attended UAB for nursing school and pursued her MSN while she worked and completed the Family Nurse Practitioner program. She has worked in urgent care and most recently with the Health Department in Chattanooga, TN at their Homeless Clinic.
Brittany says that she is passionate about both patient care and patient education. She has been married for nine years with two boys, Colin and Connor. As far as advice goes, Brittany says she wants patients to know they’re not alone.
“Never lose hope and know you’re not alone. I went through infertility treatment with my first son and it was so tough and I felt alone. Getting into a support group and having a support system helped me so much. “
We’re so thankful to have Brittany on our team!
