Showing their commitment to the relationshipHolidays can be difficult to navigate for couples who are struggling with infertility. While you want to celebrate with friends and family, the additional stress of traveling and potentially having to answer sensitive questions can be overwhelming. This tension can be especially high on a holiday like Mother’s Day.

Of course you’ll want to celebrate the special mothers in your life on this day, but it’s also okay to take some time for yourself! Make sure that you take time to reflect on all of the wonderful things happening in your lives, and spend some time together as a couple.

After your traditional Mother’s Day celebration activities, pick something on this list to do as a couple:

  1. Go on a picnic.
  2. Go see a movie.
  3. Go bowling.
  4. Get a couple’s massage.
  5. Go for a walk/hike and enjoy the spring weather.
  6. Rent a canoe or paddle board.
  7. Cook a fancy dinner together.
  8. Splurge at a 5-star restaurant.
  9. Lounge by the lake or the pool.
  10. Volunteer at a favorite non-profit.

Making time to spend with each other is extremely important during this journey. You’re in this together, and it’s important to be there for each other on the days that can be a little tough.
